All of our farms oppose Contained Animal Farming Operations (CAFO) and are doing their part to provide a fresh and healthy product for our customers.
Many of our farms are certified organic and raise a variety of organic vegetables, organic herbs and organic berries.
FAT - Eggs (per dozen) Not enzyme washed
Fat Stone Eggs (per dozen). One dozen, various sizes (mostly large), fro young Rhode Island Red Hens. Rhode Island Reds are our local chicken, recognized in 1903 and developed in Rhode Island. You'll love the deep orange yplks and the way it sets up high once you crack one open. Reccomended for baking, cooking scrambled, fried and poached. Best to let them sit in the fridge for a week or more, and use a pressure cooker, if they will be hard-boiled. This allows more air to penetrate the shell and makes peeling easier. The fresher the egg, the harder it is to peel. Our girls are fed high-qaulity Pulin Grain Poultry food and lots of certified Organic garden greens. These eggs are from a small flock. They are not enzyme washed.
